Since September 2015, the passengers of the Riga International Airport have new arrival zones and bigger waiting areas.
The first phase included the territorial development, the construction of the accesses, the construction of the building, utilities and coating materials. The non-Schengen passenger sector was enlarged, three new arrival zones were designed and bigger transit passengers zones were created to guarantee a better customer service. The architectural concept and interior design were continued as the previous already used in the airport.
The basic guidelines continued – quest for transparency, search for an easy orientation of the airport users and the use of natural and long-lasting materials.
The public toilets are fitted with Duravit ceramics from the DuraStyle series.
